The Project Tree is a useful utility when you are modeling the project building’s floors and rooms, and setting up the building zones. The Project Tree is also useful for adding ceilings and flowpath objects (energy leakages) to windows and doors by being an entry point into the Ribbon tabs containing those tools that are specifically designed to act on the selected Project Tree objects. These Ribbon tabs are normally disabled, and can only be opened when a specific type of building component is selected (from the Project Tree).

• As rooms are added to the floors, viewing the building becomes more difficult. The Project Tree contains options to make it easier to filter out areas of the building that are not being worked on similar to the Show floor only menu option does for the Floor Project Tree objects.
